A simple goal at the beginning of May to walk the Ice Age Trail segments in Dane County has been accomplished. The Lodi Marsh sits at the northern end of the county.

The final segment of the trail begins across the road from the other Lodi Marsh segment.

That’s the segment that I walked last week.

The fields were glistening in the early morning sun.

Mr. Bunny Rabbit invited me on.

More glistening.

More great views.

My views were not as good as this guy’s.

A staircase and a stone bench, to rest along the trail.

The Baraboo Bluffs in the distance, perhaps.

More wildflowers, but not as abundant as in other areas. Maybe it’s getting late in the season. A few of the leaves are starting to turn already.

The blackberries were in season, what a nice treat!

The sign at the county line, informing me how far I’ve come.
