After the Saturday morning yard work was done, I decided to spend some more time on the Ice Age Trail.

The trail leaves Madison behind as it continues through the Town of Middleton.

Right after I got out of the car I was confronted with the view this segment is named for, looking across the valley to Blue Mounds in the distance.

Restored prairies and savannahs make up a good chunk of this land.

Enjoyed the beautiful wild flowers.

In addition to the Ice Age Trail, there are Noll Valley Conservancy side trails, which I also explored.

There are also a lot of expensive-looking rural estates tucked back in these valleys.

The southern section of this trail is mostly wooded.

The trail cuts through a pile of glacial rocks, all smoothed from their long glacial journey from Canada.

And ends, this section at least, near a scenic old barn.
