The other day I went for a walk on a prairie near Madison, to take some photos with my new camera. But first I wanted to catch the sun coming up. From this vantage point one can see, on the other side of Lake Mendota, the capitol and the tallest buildings on the UW campus.

To get to the prairie, I walked through the oak forest.

All the while the moon was watching overhead.

In Wisconsin we have the House on the Rock and the Rock in the House, two famous tourist attractions. I call this The Rocks and the House, and the Silo.

And pretty soon I was back where I started from. I came back to the bench a little later also, it was too beautiful to stay inside.
